BASES PARA LA CONCESIÓN DEL PREMIO A LA MEJOR
      COMUNICACIÓN Y PÓSTER DE LA V JORNADA
  INTERNACIONAL DE INVESTIGACIÓN PREDOCTORAL EN
         DERECHO UNIVERSIDAD DE ZARAGOZA

Primera. - Objeto de la convocatoria:
La presente convocatoria tiene por objeto regular el procedimiento para la concesión, de
acuerdo con los principios de publicidad, objetividad y concurrencia competitiva, del
premio a la mejor comunicación y póster de la V Jornada Internacional de Investigación
Predoctoral en Derecho de la Universidad de Zaragoza, organizado por la Comisión
Académica del Programa de Doctorado en Derecho de la Universidad de Zaragoza.

Segunda. - Financiación:
Esta convocatoria cuenta con un presupuesto total de 500 euros, que se harán efectivos
con cargo al patrocinio de la Cátedra Garrigues de Derecho y Empresa Universidad de
Zaragoza y a la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Zaragoza, a partes iguales.

Tercera. - Reconocimientos:
Los reconocimientos que se convocan son los siguientes:
   -   Premio “Cátedra Garrigues a la mejor comunicación y póster” consistente en un
       Diploma acreditativo y un premio en metálico de 250 euros.
   -   Dos accésits compuestos por un Diploma acreditativo y 125 euros cada uno.

Cuarta. - Requisitos de los candidatos:
Para concurrir a esta convocatoria será necesario ser doctorando/a con matrícula de tutela
académica vigente en el curso 2021/2022 de cualquier Universidad pública o privada
española o extranjera y enviar antes del 5 de mayo de 2022 el póster en inglés junto a un
resumen de la comunicación asociada al mismo, en inglés y castellano, siguiendo las
instrucciones del apartado sexto de las presentes bases, comprometiéndose a su defensa

publica en la V Jornada Internacional de Investigación Predoctoral del 26 de mayo de
2022.

El hecho de enviar un póster y una propuesta de comunicación supone la plena aceptación
de las presentes bases y el fallo inapelable del Jurado. Igualmente, los seleccionados,
aceptan ser grabados durante la celebración de la Jornada con el fin de su reproducción a
través del canal de Youtube de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Zaragoza y
la captura de imágenes para su difusión posterior.

Quinta. - Forma de concesión de los premios:
El Comité Científico valorará todos los resúmenes de comunicaciones y los pósteres
presentados hasta el 5 de mayo de 2022 y seleccionará 10 comunicaciones por cada línea
de investigación del Programa de Derecho de la Universidad de Zaragoza:
Estas líneas son:
   1. Derecho de aguas y del medio ambiente.
   2. Derecho de familia y de la persona y derecho civil aragonés.
   3. Derecho privado y su tutela judicial y arbitral.
   4. Derecho y empresa: aspectos mercantiles, laborales y fiscales.
   5. Instituciones políticas y administrativas.
   6. Derecho Penal.
Esas 10 comunicaciones por cada una de las seis líneas de investigación (hasta un máximo
de 60 en total), se expondrán oralmente (máx. 5 minutos más posibles preguntas) de
manera síncrona durante la Jornada, en cada una de las seis salas virtuales habilitadas a
tal efecto (una por línea de investigación).
Igualmente, el Comité Científico seleccionará, previamente a la Jornada, la mejor
propuesta de comunicación y póster para cada una de las seis líneas. La selección como
finalista se dará a conocer a la terminación de cada panel. Las seis comunicaciones
elegidas se expondrán nuevamente en el acto de clausura. A continuación, un Jurado
compuesto por miembros del Comité Científico junto a representantes de la Cátedra
Garrigues de Derecho y Empresa y de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de
Zaragoza elegirán las merecedoras de reconocimiento por su claridad expositiva y
originalidad.

Se podrá declarar desierto alguno o todos los reconocimientos de acuerdo con las
valoraciones del Jurado o por ausencia de candidatos/as.

Sexta. - Elaboración de los pósteres y las propuestas de comunicaciones:
El póster tendrá un contenido explicativo acerca de la investigación que los/as
doctorandos/as están llevando a cabo. El idioma del póster será el inglés. Su contenido
será inédito y original. De estilo libre, únicamente será obligatorio añadir en el pie del
mismo la barra identificativa que se alojará en la página web de las Jornadas.
Las propuestas de comunicaciones no podrán exceder de 500 palabras. El idioma de las
mismas será el inglés y el castellano. Su contenido será inédito y original.
Tanto el póster, como la propuesta de comunicación serán anonimizados para la selección
por parte del Comité Organizador. A este respecto, se ruega evitar cualquier referencia
al/a la autor/a, su género o cualquier otro signo distintivo de la autoría del mismo.
Los pósteres se expondrán públicamente en la página web de las Jornadas.

RULES FOR THE AWARD OF THE BEST COMMUNICATION
   AND POSTER OF THE V INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP OF
       PREDOCTORAL RESEARCH IN LAW – UNIVERSITY OF
                                    ZARAGOZA

First. - Purpose of the call:
The purpose of this call is to regulate the procedure for awarding, in accordance with the
principles of publicity, objectivity and competitive participation, the prize for the best
communication and poster of the V International Workshop of Predoctoral Research in
Law of the University of Zaragoza, organized by the Academic Commission of the
Doctoral Program in Law of the University of Zaragoza.

Second. - Financing:
This call has a total budget of 500 euros, which will be paid under the sponsorship of the
Garrigues Chair in Law and Business at University of Zaragoza and the School of Law
of the University of Zaragoza, in equal proportion.

Third. - Awards:
The awards that are convened are the following:
   -    “Garrigues Chair for the best communication and poster” Award consisting of a
        Diploma and a cash prize of 250 euros.
   -    Two honorable mentions made up of a Diploma and 125 euros each one.

Quarter. - Candidate requirements:
To attend this call, it will be necessary to be a PhD candidate with current academic
tutelage enrollment in the 2021/2022 academic year of any Spanish or foreign public or
private university and send before May 5th 2022, the poster in English with an abstract of
the communication, in English and in Spanish, following the instructions of the sixth
section of these rules, committing to its public defense at the V International Workshop
of Predoctoral Research on May 26th, 2022.

The fact of sending a poster and a communication proposal implies full acceptance of
these rules and the final decision of the Jury. Likewise, those selected agree to be recorded
during the Workshop for the purpose of its reproduction through the Youtube channel of
the School of Law of the University of Zaragoza and the capture of images for later
dissemination.

Fifth. - Method of awarding the prizes:
The Scientific Committee will assess all abstracts of communications and posters
presented until May 5th 2022 and will select 10 communications for each line of research
of the Law Program of the University of Zaragoza: These lines are:
    1. Water and environmental law.
    2. Family and personal law and aragonese civil law.
    3. Private law and its judicial and arbitral protection.
    4. Law and business: mercantile, labor and fiscal aspects.
    5. Political and administrative institutions.
    6. Criminal law.
These 10 communications for each of the six lines of research (a maximum of 60 in total
a), will be presented orally (5 minutes maximum plus possible questions) synchronously
during the Workshop, in each of the six virtual rooms set up for this purpose (one per line
of research).
Likewise, the Scientific Committee will select, prior to the Workshop, the best
communication and poster proposal for each of the six lines. The selection as a finalist
will be announced at the end of each panel. The six chosen communications will be
exposed again in the closing event. Next, a Jury made up of members of the Scientific
Committee together with representatives of the Garrigues Chair in Law and Business and
the School of Law of University of Zaragoza will choose those deserving recognition for
its clarity of exposition and original ideas.
Some or all of the recognitions may be declared void according to the evaluations of the
Jury or due to the absence of candidates.

Sixth. - Preparation of posters and communications proposals:

The poster will have an explanatory content about the research that the doctoral students
are carrying out. The language of the poster must be English. Its content will be
unpublished and original. Freestyle, it will only be mandatory to add the identifying bar
at the bottom of the same, which will be hosted on the conference website.
Communication proposals may not exceed 500 words. Their language must be English
and Spanish. Its content will be unpublished and original.
Both the poster and the communication proposal will be anonymized for selection by the
Organizing Committee. In this regard, please avoid any reference to the author, their
gender or any other distinctive sign of authorship.
The posters will be displayed publicly on the conference website.
