Volcano UltraMarathon Program - December 7 Arrival at the airport and transfer hotel. Delivery of the Welcome Pack and race check for ALL THE RUNNERS. Starting at 2:00 p.m. (Volcano UltraMarathon Hall) (1st night hotel accommodation. INTERNATIONAL ONLY) - December 8 Breakfast of the runners staying at the hotel. → 8:00 Presentation of the route and medical controls, delivery of numbers and control of mandatory material in the Volcano UltraMarathon Hall. 1. Material control 2. Cold bag delivery 3. Delivery of suitcase (stays at the hotel) 4. Technical talk and RoadBook delivery → 12:00 Transfer First camp (1 stop during the tour). → 15:00 Arrival scheduled for La Solanea camp and presentation of the camp and free afternoon. → 19:00 Dinner included in the camp. A local dinner at the camp will be offered to all runners (food and drink).

To do this, we free the runners from their backpacks and control the use of food gels: In CP2 the runners will deliver their backpacks and can only run with a water can and everything they find in the CP. IMPORTANT: each runner will be marked with the gels they take and when they return they must deliver them, making sure that nothing remains on the road. Volcano UltraMarathon Bolsa de frío One of the VolcanoUltraMarathon's camps is at an elevation close to 3,000 meters (STAGE 5). As an event with temperatures that may reach 5º, or lower, on the night during that stage, VolcanoUltraMarathon staff will provide each runner with a 40-L “Cold Bag”. Which will be distributed in the Welcome Pack, and will be individually marked with each competitor's number. Bag distribution and return process - Distribution on Day 7 in the Welcome Pack (REGISTRATION AT THE HOTEL). - Handover to race staff on Day 8 at the material control point, pending verification. * Runners should appear at the material control point with their Cold Bags ready to be checked. Once checked they will be closed and marked for their transport and return to runners at the end of Stage 5 (Guápiles - Hacienda la Central)
Volcano UltraMarathon Bolsa de frío 1. The bags should only be used to stow warm clothes; runners may use them for any cold-weather garment they choose. 2. That night it will be cold both inside and outside the tents, so be prepared (long pyjamas, gloves, cap, down jacket, etc...) * IMPORTANT: everything carried in Cold Bags must have been checked by race staff, with infractions in this regard being punishable. DELIVERED IN THE CONTROL OF MATERIAL PICKED UP AT FINISH STAGE 5
