BIENVENIDA / WELCOME. -
Costa Blanca Bike Race nació en 2015 y en este 2022 afrontamos la octaba edición, con
la misma ilusión y emoción que el primer día, sabiendo que contamos con probablemente
el mejor entorno, clima y recorridos del mundo para la practica del mountain bike. Un
escenario perfecto para obtener grandes emociones encima de nuestras mountain bike.
Costa Blanca Bike Race, la Diputación de Alicante y los Ayuntamientos sedes de las
etapas (Altea, Calpe, Callosa, entre otros) avalan nuestro proyecto turístico deportivo,
creando sinergias de actividad económica en el litoral Costa Blanca. La
desestacionalización del turismo de playa y sol se hace patente con la puesta en marcha
de nuestro proyecto turístico deportivo, acercando a deportistas y acompañantes a los
pueblos y playas de la Costa Blanca.
En esta edición hemos incorporado a nuestro proyecto nuevas zonas nunca antes
exploradas en nuestro evento como son las montañas cercanas al municipio de Calpe y un
nuevo alojamiento oficial, el del Hotel AR Diamante, impulsando nuevos lugares para la
práctica del mountain bike y mostrándoos sedas espectaculares y parajes de extrema
belleza.
Esta nueva edición 2022, empieza tras un año muy complejo para todos, pero con la ilusión
de volver a los eventos, a las carreras y a una nueva edición de Costa Blanca Bike Race.
El eveto sigue dentro del calendario UCI, apostando por nuevas mejoras en los circuitos,
para seguir manteniendo el espíritu competitivo que marca la categoría UCI S1, siendo
Costa Blanca un estadio natural para la bicicleta, con playa y montaña a pocos kilómetros,
con excelentes comunicaciones, siendo Alicante la puerta de entrada a este estadio.
¡Bienvenidos, esperamos qué disfrutéis de esta nueva edición de Costa Blanca Bike Race!

Costa Blanca Bike Race was born in 2015 and in this 2022 we face the eight edition, with
the same enthusiasm and emotion as the first day, knowing that we have probably the best
environment, climate and routes in the world for mountain biking. A perfect setting to get
great emotions on our mountain bikes.
Costa Blanca Bike Race, the Alicante Province Council and the Town Halls hosting the
stages (Altea, Calpe, Callosa, among others) endorse our sports tourism project, creating
synergies of economic activity on the Costa Blanca. This is an sport project, we work to
create an sport product showing to the world the benefits of our climate, mountains, ad trails.
In this edition we have incorporated into our project new areas never explored before in our
event, such as the mountains near the municipality of Calpe and a new official
accommodation, the Hotel AR Diamante, promoting new places to practice mountain biking
and showing you spectacular silks and places of extreme beauty.
This new 2022 edition begins after a very complex year for everyone, but with the hope of
returning to events, races and a new edition of the Costa Blanca Bike Race. The event
continues within the UCI calendar, betting on new improvements in the circuits, to continue
maintaining the competitive spirit that marks the UCI S1 category, with Costa Blanca being
a natural stadium for cycling, with beach and mountains a few kilometers away, with
excellent communications Alicante being the gateway to this stadium.

REGLAMENTOS. – REGULATION
REGISTRO. – RACE PACK COLLECTION
El registro y la recogida de dorsales tendrá lugar en el Hotel AR Diamante desde el
miércoles 26 de enero a partir las 11:00 h. y según el horario establecido en la agenda.
Los números de dorsal serán asignados por categoría y según el ranking de la ultima
actualización UCI.
Durante el registro se hará entrega de una pulsera identificativa a todos los participantes,
que deberán llevar en todo momento durante los días de competición.
Los deportistas alojados en el Hotel AR Diamante, llevarán la pulsera que los identificará
como alojados en el Hotel sede y alojamiento oficial, además de la pulsera de registro en la
competición.
The registration and pack collection will take place at the Hotel AR Diamante from
Wednesday 26th from 11:00 h. and according to the schedule established in the agenda.
The bib numbers will be assigned by category and according to the ranking of the last UCI
update.
During the registration, an identification bracelet will be given to all participants, which they
must wear at all times during the competition days.
Athletes staying at the AR Diamante Hotel will wear the bracelet that will identify them as
staying at the host Hotel and official accommodation, in addition to the competition
registration bracelet.
REUNIONES TÉCNICAS. – TECHNICAL MEETINGS
Cada día de competición, y desde el miércoles 26 de enero hasta el sábado 6 de noviembre
dispondréis de un breifing técnico explicativo para todos los participantes, será obligatorio
para los técnicos de equipos profesionales.
Todos los cambios serán anunciados en el tablón de anuncios de secretaria, situado en
Salón habilitado del Hotel AR Diamante. Será responsabilidad de los equipos y en general
de los bikers participantes estar informados de todo lo que acontece en la competición. La
web oficial y redes sociales serán los medios digitales oficiales por los que se llevarán a
cabo las notificaciones y cambios de ultima hora que se produzcan.

Every day of competition, from Wednesday, January 26th to Saturday, January 29th, you
will have an explanatory technical briefing for all participants, it will be mandatory for
professional team technicians.
All changes will be announced on the secretary's notice board, located in the AR Diamante
Hotel's hall. It will be the responsibility of the teams and in general of the participating bikers
to be informed of everything that happens in the competition. The official website and social
networks will be the official digital media through which the notifications and last minute
changes that occur will be carried out.

PROCEDIMIENTOS DE LA COMPETICIÓN. – COMPETITION PROCEDURE
Esta competición sigue el reglamento especifico de Costa Blanca Bike Race, para lo no
contemplado en este reglamento, nos basaremos en el reglamento general de la UCI y la
normativa especifica de MTB de la UCI.
Después de cada etapa se publicará por los medios impresos y digitales los resultados de
la etapa, la clasificación general CBBR y las listas de salida para la etapa siguiente.
Hay diferentes parrillas de salida en función de la clasificación general de la competición.
La primera etapa se llevará a cabo por orden de categoría y dorsal, seguido por los
participantes de categoría parejas.
La parrilla se abrirá veinte (20) minutos antes de la hora de salida.
Cinco (5) minutos antes de la salida no esa permitido el acceso de ningún participante a la
parrilla, debiéndose colocar en la parte final de correspondiente a su grupo de salida.
Ningún participante puede tomar la salida una vez se haya dado la salida oficial, salvo que
los comisarios así lo autoricen. Los participantes que tomen la salida después de esa hora
serán considerados DNS (Did Not Start).
Cada control de paso, zona técnica o avituallamiento tiene una hora máxima de paso,
momento en el cual se le comunicara al biker, estos tiempos se pueden ver el rutometro de
las etapas, tomando como referencia la velocidad media mas lenta establecida.
Cualquier ayuda externa, supone la descalificación del participante. Las ayudas fuera de
las zonas técnicas no están autorizadas, suponen la descalificación.
Las acreditaciones para dar soporte en la zona técnica deberán ser solicitadas en la
secretaria de la competición. Las personas y vehículos no autorizados no podrán tener
acceso a las zonas técnicas.
Los participantes que formen parejas, si uno de ellos es descalificado, el otro podrá
continuar participando de manera recreativa siempre y cuando no influya en la competición,
aquellos que continúen obtendrán únicamente su tiempo de meta en una clasificación open.
This competition follows the specific regulations of the Costa Blanca Bike Race, for what is
not contemplated in these regulations, we will base ourselves on the general regulations of
the UCI and the specific regulations of UCI mountain biking.
After each stage, the results of the stage, the general CBBR classification and the starting
lists for the next stage will be published by print and digital media.
There are different starting grids depending on the general classification of the competition.
The first stage will be carried out in order of category and number, followed by participants
in the couples category.
The grill will open twenty (20) minutes before departure time.
9Five (5) minutes before the start, the access of any participant to the grid is not allowed and
must be placed in the final part of the corresponding starting group.
No participant may start once the official start has been given, unless the stewards so
authorize it. Participants who start after that time will be considered DNS (Did Not Start).
Each step control, technical area or refreshment station has a maximum time of passage,
at which time the biker will be informed, these times can be seen on the route meter of the
stages, taking as a reference the slowest average speed established.
Any external help supposes the disqualification of the participant. Aids outside the technical
zones are not authorized, they entail disqualification.
Accreditations to provide support in the technical area must be requested at the competition
secretary. Unauthorized persons and vehicles will not be able to access the technical areas.
The participants who form pairs, if one of them is disqualified, the other may continue to
participate in a recreational way if it does not influence the competition, those who continue
will only obtain their finish time in an open classification.
AVITUALLAMIENTOS Y ZONAS TECNICAS. – TECHNICAL AND FEEDING
ZONES
Las zonas de avituallamiento están debidamente señalizadas en el recorrido. En estos
puntos encontrarán todo lo necesario para cubrir las necesidades en cuanto a alimentación
e hidratación se refiere.
Los puntos de zonas técnicas serán los únicos puntos donde la asistencia y avituallamiento
estarán permitidos.
The FEEDING POINTS are duly signposted along the route. At these points you will find
everything you need to meet your needs in terms of nutrition and hydration.
The points of technical zones will be the only points where assistance and supplies will be
allowed.
MARCAJE. – RACE MARKING
La carrera estará señalizada con carteles de flechas de dirección y cintas de confirmación.
Aunque no es necesario ningún dispositivo de GPS para seguir los recorridos es
recomendable su uso. La organización facilitara los track en formato electrónico, dos (2)
días antes del inicio de la competición.
Cada diez kilómetros, se indicará la distancia hasta meta. En el último kilometro habrá una
marca que indique este punto.
10The race will be marked with directional arrow signs and confirmation ribbons. Although no
GPS device is necessary to follow the routes, its use is recommended. The organization will
provide the tracks in electronic format, two (2) days before the start of the competition.
Every ten kilometers, the distance to the finish line will be indicated. In the last kilometer
there will be a mark indicating this point.
TRAMOS NO CICLABLES. – NON POSSIBLE TO RIDE SECTORS
Los comisarios y el director de carrera podrán decidir si algún tramo del recorrido no es
ciclable y es imposible su paso. En este caso el recorrido puede ser desviado en otros
puntos previstos por la organización.
Si no fuera posible acabar, el tiempo final será el del ultimo punto de control superado.
The UCI COMISAIRE and the race director will be able to decide if some section of the route
is not cyclable and it is impossible to pass. In this case, the route can be diverted to other
points provided by the organization.
If it is not possible to finish, the final time will be that of the last checkpoint passed.
ABANDONOS. – DNF (DID NOT FINISH)
Cualquier participante que abandone debe de informar a la organización tan pronto como
le sea posible. No informar de este hecho supone la expulsión de la competición.
En caso de accidente o emergencia, y teniendo en cuenta la seguridad de los participantes,
la organización se reserva el derecho de forzar la retirada de un participante de la
competición.
Any participant who DID NOT FINISH (DNF) must inform the organization as soon as
possible. Failure to report this means expulsion from the competition.
In the event of an accident or emergency, and considering the safety of the participants, the
organization reserves the right to force the withdrawal of a participant from the competition.
BICICLETA. – BICYCLE
La bicicleta debe cumplir con el reglamento de la UCI, tanto en cuanto a las características
técnicas como las medidas de seguridad.
Los participantes pueden cambiar la bicicleta cada etapa, pero no pueden ser
completamente sustituidas ni cambiadas durante una etapa.
11Las bicicletas estacionadas en el box oficial de la etapa solo podrán ser retiradas por los
participantes que lleven la pulsera con el numero de dorsal correspondiente y que coincida
con el de la bicicleta.
Los tándems no están permitidos.
The bicycle must comply with the UCI regulations, both in terms of technical
characteristics and safety measures.
Participants can change the bike each stage, but they cannot be completely replaced or
changed during a stage.
Bicycles parked in the official box of the stage can only be picked up by participants who
wear the bracelet with the corresponding bib number and that matches that of the bicycle.
Tandems are not allowed.
EQUIPAMIENTO. – EQUIPMENT
Es obligatorio competir con el número de dorsal asignado por la organización. El número
de dorsal debe ser visible durante todo el recorrido, y debe estar colocado en la parte
delantera de la bicicleta y a la espalda del participante.
El dorsal no puede ser modificado o alterado su forma.
El chip incrustado en el dorsal no puede ser modificado ni manipulado, además de estar
colocado donde establece la organización.
Todos los lideres de la clasificación general deben de llevar el maillot de líder, entregado
por la organización. El maillot de líder tiene un espacio reservado para los patrocinadores
en parte delantera como trasera.
Es responsabilidad del participante colocar los patrocinadores en el espacio reservado del
maillot del líder.
Por motivos de seguridad se recomienda llevar teléfono móvil.
Puede ser necesario en algunas etapas el uso de prendas de abrigo como impermeables,
perneras, etc. La elección del material es responsabilidad del participante.
Esta prohibido llevar cámaras de video durante la competición salvo que sea autorizada por
la organización o los comisarios UCI. SI SE DESEA LLEVAR CAMARA CONSULTAR A LA
ORGANIZACIÓN
It is mandatory to compete with the bib number assigned by the organization. The bib
number must be visible throughout the tour and must be placed on the front of the bike
and on the back of the participant.
The bib cannot be modified, or its shape altered.
12The chip embedded in the bib cannot be modified or manipulated, in addition to being
placed where the organization establishes.
All leaders of the general classification must wear the leader's jersey, issued by the
organization. The leader's jersey has a space reserved for sponsors at the front and at the
back.
It is the participant's responsibility to place the sponsors in the reserved space of the
leader's jersey.
For security reasons it is recommended to carry a mobile phone.
It may be necessary at some stages to wear warm clothing such as raincoats, leg
warmers, etc. The choice of material is the responsibility of the participant.
It is forbidden to carry video cameras during the competition unless authorized by the
organization or the UCI commissioners. If you want to use camera on board ask
permission to the organizers
DEPORTE Y NATURALEZA. – SPORT AND ENVIROMENT
La BTT es un deporte competitivo o una actividad de ocio que tiene lugar en un entorno
natural y el impacto que puede tener en el medio ambiente es responsabilidad de todos los
participantes y los organizadores. Queda terminantemente prohibido tirar basura en la ruta.
Los participantes deberán ser respetuosos con el medio ambiente.
Los comisarios se reservan el derecho de descalificar cualquier participante que no respete
el medio natural o las propiedades privadas que se crucen durante el desarrollo de las
etapas, y de expulsarlo sin posibilidad de seguir participando en la competición.
CADA PARTICIPANTE DEBERÁ MARCAR LA ALIMENTACIÓN CON LAS PEGATINAS
QUE LA ORGANIZACIÓN PROVEE EN LA BOLSA DEL CORREDOR. Se realizarán
controles aleatorios en la salida, no llevar marcados los geles o barritas puede conllevar
una penalización
Mountain biking is a competitive sport or leisure activity that takes place in a natural
environment and the impact it can have on the environment is the responsibility of all
participants and organizers. It is strictly forbidden to litter on the route. Participants must be
respectful of the environment.
The commissioners reserve the right to disqualify any participant who does not respect the
natural environment or private properties that they cross during the development of the
stages, and to expel them without the possibility of continuing to participate in the
competition.
EACH PARTICIPANT SHOULD MARK GELS AND ENERGETIC BARS WITH THE

13CONSIDERACIONES. – CONSIDERATIONS
Cualquier participante puede ser sujeto para un control antidopaje siguiendo el reglamento
de la UCI o de la Comisión antidopaje.
Todos los participantes deben ser respetuosos con los demás participantes, comisarios,
voluntarios, staff, periodistas y espectadores.
El recorrido por donde tiene lugar la competición es trazado exclusivamente para la carrera
y no se permite la difusión de su track.
Los comisarios se reservan el derecho de descalificar cualquier participante que no respete
estas consideraciones y de expulsarlo sin posibilidad de seguir participando en la
competición.
Todos los participantes ceden sus derechos de imagen a la organización, que puede utilizar
cualquier fotografía o video que se derive o realice durante los días de la prueba y que este
vinculado con la misma.
La organización no se hace responsable ni de los gastos ni de deudas que pueden contraer
los participantes durante el trascurso del evento.
Si fuera necesario por fuerza mayor o por seguridad de los participantes con el fin de
garantizar el desarrollo de la competición, la organización se reserva el derecho de retrasar
la hora de salida, modificar, alterar o cancelar una etapa, sin que por ello sea motivo de
devolución total o parcial de la cuota de inscripción o servicios contratados, con o sin seguro
de cancelación.
La organización no podrá dar salida en caso de que se dieran una situación de
preemergencia contra incendios o cualquier otra que sea marcada por las autoridades
competentes en el ámbito donde se desarrolla la competición. En ese caso, se suspendería
la etapa sin posibilidad de reclamación alguna contra el organizador al ser un tema ajeno a
sus competencias.
Todos los participantes deben tener al menos 18 años a 31 de diciembre del año de la
competición.
Los participantes se pueden inscribir en alguna de las categorías establecidas que se
relacionan. Las categorías se calculan en referencia a la edad del participante a 31 de
diciembre del año de la competición.

- Máster 30 hombres
- Máster 40 hombres
- Máster 50 hombres
- Máster 60+ hombres
- Máster féminas.
- Parejas mixtas.
- Parejas masculinas.

Todos los participantes optan a la clasificación general absoluta y de la categoría elegida.
Para la categoría de parejas masculina, femenina, mixta y categoría E-Bike, solo existirá
una clasificación general de las tres primeras posiciones, es decir no existen subcategorías
por rango de edad en estas.
14En el caso de la competición HALF, las categorías establecidas son iguales, no siendo UCI,
las parejas se establecen por categorías mixtas, femeninas y masculinas, teniendo premio
las tres primeras posiciones, como la categoría e-bike. Esta competición no esta regulada
por la Real Federación Española de Ciclismo (RFEC).
IMPORTANTE:
Según la normativa de la Real Federación Española de Ciclismo (RFEC), los
participantes extranjeros poseedores de una licencia de ciclismo no tramitada por al RFEC,
deben de tener una autorización escrita de su federación nacional que certifique que su
seguro es validado en España. Este documento debe de presentarse a los comisarios para
poder retirar el dorsal.
Any participant may be subject to an anti-doping control following the regulations of the
UCI or the Anti-Doping Commission.
All participants must be respectful to other participants, refereees, volunteers, staff,
journalists and spectators.
The route where the competition takes place is traced exclusively for the race and the
diffusion of its track is not allowed.
The commissioners reserve the right to disqualify any participant who does not respect
these considerations and to expel them without the possibility of continuing to participate in
the competition.
All participants assign their image rights to the organization, which can use any
photograph or video that is derived or made during the days of the test and that is linked to
it.
The organization is not responsible for expenses or debts that participants may incur
during the course of the event.
If necessary due to force majeure or for the safety of the participants in order to guarantee
the development of the competition, the organization reserves the right to delay the start
time, modify, alter or cancel a stage, without reason. total or partial refund of the
registration fee or contracted services, with or without cancellation insurance.
The organization will not be able to exit in the event of a fire pre-emergency situation or
any other that is marked by the competent authorities in the area where the competition
takes place. In that case, the stage would be suspended without the possibility of any
claim against the organizer as it is an issue outside their powers.
All participants must be at least 18 years old as of December 31 of the year of the
competition.
Participants can register in any of the established categories that are related. The
categories are calculated in reference to the age of the participant as of December 31 of
the year of the competition.

15All participants opt for the absolute general classification and the chosen category.
For the category of male, female, mixed couples, there will only be a general classification
of the first three positions, that is, there are no subcategories by age range in these.
In the case of the HALF competition, the established categories are the same, not being
UCI, the pairs are established by mixed categories, female and male, with the first three
positions having a prize. This competition is not regulated by the Royal Spanish Cycling
Federation (RFEC).
IMPORTANT:
According to the regulations of the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC), foreign
participants holding a cycling license not processed by the RFEC, must have a written
authorization from their national federation that certifies that their insurance is validated in
Spain. This document must be presented to the stewards in order to remove the number.
