UPDATES AND REMINDERS / ACTUALIZACIONES Y RECORDATORIOS DE ASISTENCIA
During Quarter 2, the students will continue to report daily attendance on TEAMS to be marked present for official school attendance and record.
Students need to report attendance between 7:45am-9am. They should only submit attendance once using their school email account. If the
student submits twice or uses a personal email they will receive a detention. If the student does not receive a confirmation email, they should contact
Ms. Maynez immediately. As a reminder, the attendance that students submit goes on their official school record. Reporting attendance means the
student is “present,” will engage, participate and be present in all of their classes for the entire time.
STUDENT ABSENCES
Excused Absences: If the student will be absent due to illness, a parent must report the absence before 9am at 773-890-7119.
Unexcused Absences: If a parent does not contact the front office, and the student does not contact Ms. Maynez before 10:40 a.m. they will
be marked Absent Unexcused. The student is still responsible for attending the rest of their classes. If the student forgets to submit attedance,
they need to formally email Ms. Maynez at mmaynez@cristorey.net immediately. Ms. Maynez will only respond to attendance emails between
9am-10:40am.
TARDIES
If they student submits attendance between 9am- 9:10am, they will be marked tardy. They are allowed three tardies with no disciplenary consequence,
after the 3rd tardy they will be issued a detention every time they are late. Students late after 9:10am will receive an automatic detention.
EARLY DISMISSALS
If a student has a medical appointment and needs to leave early, a parent must contact the school to report an early dismissal and fill out an early
dismissal form. The form can also be found online on the Cristo Rey website on FORMS and DOCUMENTS.

Dear Parents: The State of Illinois is now requiring all students entering the 9th grade to have a dental and an eye examination. Please set up an
appointment for your child as soon as possible. Once examinations are complete, please submit a copy to Ms. Maynez at mmaynez@cristorey.net.
