A Holiday Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,
It is incredible how quickly we came upon December. This school year is progressing way too fast. I know Christmas will
be a little different for us all. It is usually a busy time, filled with the hustle and bustle of gift shopping for friends and fami-
ly near and far. Yet, due to Covid-19, we might not be traveling nor having the large group gatherings we are used to host-
ing or attending. I understand that change is difficult, but I want to remind you that what truly matters right now is each of
our family’s health and safety. With that being said, I would like to wish you all continued health and a great Holiday Sea-
son!
There will be no school due to Grading day December 18th, 2020 and Winter Break will be from December 21st - January
1st. Please enjoy this time with your loved ones and be safe. School resumes on Monday, January 4th, 2021.
As always, I encourage you to please continue to refer to the TUSD school district website, our school website, http://
edweb.tusd1.org/Roskruge, and our social media pages (Facebook, Instagram), for additional information. For your con-
venience, helpful links and resources are posted on this page as well.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, students and parents for their continued support. The new-year will
bring new learning experiences, new challenges and new fun. I look forward to what lies ahead for us as a school
community in 2021.
I wish you all Peace, Joy, Hope and Happiness during this Holiday season and throughout the New Year.

Es increíble lo rápido que llegamos a diciembre. Este ano escolar esta progresando demasiado rápido. Se que la Navidad
será un poco diferente para todos nosotros. Por lo general, son momentos de muchas actividades como compras de regalos,
compras de mandados y visitas de amigos y familiares cercanos y lejanos. Sin embargo, debido a Covid-19, es posible que
no estemos viajando ni tengamos las reuniones de grupos grandes que estamos acostumbrados a albergar o asistir. Entiendo
que el cambio es difícil, pero quiero recordarles que lo que realmente importa en este momento es la salud y seguridad de
cada una de nuestras familias. Con decir esto, me gustaría desearles a todos continuación de buena salud y una maravillosa
temporada navideña.
No habrá clases el 18 de diciembre de 2020 debido al que los maestros estarán trabajando en reportes de calificaciones de
los estudiantes . Las vacaciones de invierno serán del jueves 21 de diciembre al 1ero. de enero. Disfrute este tiempo con
sus seres queridos y esté seguro si viaja. La escuela se reanudará el lunes 4 de enero de 2021.

Nuestra escuela es verdaderamente una escuela comunitaria y es en esta época del año cuando la cercanía de la amistad bri-

FAMILY RESOURCE CENTERS
CENTROS DE RECURSOS FAMILIARES
The food pantries at the Family Resource Centers
provide food items for Tucson Unified families. The

ty Food Bank of Southern Arizona and is offered to
families free of charge. Deliveries are made month-
ly to the centers, where items are sorted by staff
and volunteers into boxes for different-sized fami-
lies and made ready for distribution. Families can
then come and pick up the boxes for their homes.
