PRESENTACIÓN / PRESENTATION:
El Club Deportivo de Orientación Máximus va a organizar en la provincia de Ávila (España) el
“Máximus O Meeting”, la que será su tercera edición.
Desde que las entidades locales nos han mostrado su voluntad de apoyar el evento, nos hemos
involucrado minuciosamente con el objetivo de que todos los que nos visitéis acabéis satisfechos
con la prueba.
MOM 2022 es un evento de Orientación O-Pie, en el que se realizarán cuatro carreras oficiales: una
de distancia larga, una de distancia media, una carrera sprint y una última etapa de salida a la caza.
Las carreras larga y media serán puntuables para la Liga Española de Orientación y serán las
celebradas el sábado y el domingo, la carrera media será también World Ranking Event y, para el
cómputo total del trofeo Máximus O Meeting, todas las pruebas (4) serán puntuables.
Para completar el programa, también ofreceremos un model event y multitud de entrenamientos
disponibles dentro del Máximus Winter O-Camp.
Este evento está abierto a cualquier persona sin importar la edad, apuntándose a su respectiva
categoría o, incluso, en categorías abiertas pudiéndose inscribir por grupos.
Desde el club Máximus invitamos a todos los amantes de la orientación a participar en este evento
en el cual ¡sois todos bienvenidos!
The Orienteering Club Maximus organizes, in the province of Avila (Spain), the “Maximus O Meeting
2022”, which will be the third edition of this event.
Since the local institutions have shown us their willingness to support the event, we have been
meticulously involved in getting the main goal that all those who will visit us, will end up satisfied
with the competition.
MOM 2022 is a Foot-O Event with four official races: long, middle, sprint and chasing start. The
races long and middle will be valid for the Spanish League, and the middle distance (Sunday) will be
also a World Ranking Event. For the final results of the Maximus O Meeting, all the four races will be
in count.
To complete our program, we’ll also offer a model event and many training possibilities through
Máximus Winter O-Camp (since January 1st till March 31st).
This competition is an open event to all runners regardless of age, by registering in their respective
categories, or even in open categories, being able to register as a group.
From the Maximus Orienteering Club we invite all orienteering lovers to participate in this event in
which you are all welcome!

Bosque de encinas centenarias con multitud de
detalles rocosos. Alterna zonas de dehesa de carrera
rápida con otras más lentas en las que si se pierde la
concentración se pueden perder muchos minutos. En
algunas zonas la jara dificulta la progresión y las
pendientes por lo general son suaves con algún área
de pendientes moderadas.
Centennial holm oak forest with a multitude of
rocky details. It alternates some areas of fast
running open pasture with some slower ones in
which, if you lose the focus, you can lose many
minutes as well. In some areas the undergrowth
(rockrose) makes the progression difficult, and the
slopes are generally gentle with some areas of
moderate ones.

Bosque de pino adulto con zonas de encina y otras especies menos representativas. La mayor parte es pinar que
ofrece buena visibilidad, las zonas de encina, por el contrario, limitan la velocidad de carrera. En cuanto al relieve
hay dos zonas contrastadas en lo que se refiere a la pendiente. El sur del mapa es más llano que el norte, el cual
ofrece mayores desniveles. Una característica del terreno es la abundancia de cotas y de micro relieve. La roca y los
cortados es el elemento estrella de este paisaje sin llegar a ser abrumadora su
presencia. Es roca entera y de líneas definidas que facilita su lectura en el
terreno. En el mapa se ha dibujado los cortados pasables con la línea negra de
extremos redondeados y los cortados infranqueables sin peine y extremos
cuadrados. El símbolo de piedra mediana solo es utilizado en las inmediaciones
de una piedra grande o una piedra estándar. Los macizos rocosos
infranqueables se han dibujado con su forma real y en negro sólido mientras los
macizos más bajos se han representado con línea de cortado pasable e interior
gris. Se ha intentado no dibujar demasiados árboles prominentes dejando este
símbolo reservado para los que realmente destacan sobre los demás.
Adult pine forest with areas of holm oak and other less representative species.

rounded ends, while the impassable ones without tags and square ends. The medium stone symbol is only used in
the vicinity of a large stone or a standard stone. The impassable rock masses have been drawn in their real shape
and in solid black while the lower ones have been rendered with a passable cliff line and grey inner. Attempts have
been made not to draw too many prominent trees, leaving this symbol reserved for those that really stand out from
the rest.

Sprint sólo apto para buenos orientadores!
In the Sprint race, the orienteers will face an
intricate labyrinth of streets with anarchic
construction, in which permanent focus will be
essential, as well as making good route choices
before the complicated legs that our course setter
will set for you. It’s going to be a Sprint only apt for
good orienteers!

Bosque de encinas con alguna muy pequeña mancha de pino y algunas partes con enebro. Típico terreno de la zona
pero con visibilidad relativamente buena. Bosque poco denso mayormente disperso aunque siempre se puede
esperar encontrar zonas donde la vegetación reducirá la velocidad. La pendiente es moderada pero con zonas
relativamente amplias de terreno de poco desnivel en las partes altas. Es roca entera y de líneas definidas que facilita
su lectura en el terreno. En el mapa de ha dibujado los cortados pasables con la línea negra de extremos redondeados
y los cortados infranqueables sin peine y extremos cuadrados. El símbolo de piedra mediana solo es utilizado en las
inmediaciones de una piedra grande o una piedra estándar. Los macizos rocosos infranqueables se han dibujado con
su forma real y en negro sólido mientras los macizos más bajos se han representado con línea de cortado pasable e
interior gris. Se ha intentado no dibujar demasiados árboles prominentes dejando este símbolo reservado para los
que realmente destacan sobre los demás
Holm oak forest with some very small pine stain and some parts with juniper.
Typical terrain of the area but with relatively good visibility. Sparse forest,
mostly scattered, although you can always expect to find areas where
vegetation will slow you down. The slope is moderate but with relatively large
areas of land with little unevenness in the upper parts. It is overall whole rock
with defined lines that makes it easy to read it in the terrain. On the map, it has
been drawn the passable cliffs with a black line with rounded ends and the
impassable ones without tags and square ends. The medium stone symbol is

Club Maximus abrirá suelo duro para los participantes de la carrera respetando las siguientes normas:
- El pabellón se dividirá en parcelas de 3x3metros, en cada parcela solo se puede estar con la tienda de
campaña. Dentro de la tienda de campaña se puede no hacer uso de la mascarilla, siempre y cuando la
tienda este cerrada. Fuera de la tienda de campaña es obligatorio el uso de mascarilla.
- El número de personas que se acojan a la opción de suelo duro será limitado.
- No se puede hacer uso de las duchas.
- Se efectuará control en todo el momento para cumplir las medidas sanitarias redactadas anteriormente.

Club Maximus will open hard floor for the participants of the race respecting the following rules:
- The pavilion will be divided into plots of 3x3meters, in each plot you can only stay with the tent. Inside
the tent it is posible not to use the mask, as long as the tent is closed. Outside the tent it is compulsory to
wear a mask.
- The number of people using the hard floor will be limited.
- Showers cannot be used.
- Control will be effected at all times to comply with the sanitary measures.

24SISTEMA DE CRONOMETRAJE / TIMING SYSTEM
Para todas las pruebas de la LEO 2022 se utilizará el sistema Air+ de SportIdent, mediante el cual el
deportista puede utilizar el dispositivo SIAC (tarjeta electrónica) para el registro de paso inalámbrico.
Tanto organizadores como participantes, deberán conocer y aplicar correctamente los protocolos SIAC
publicados y actualizados por el equipo responsable del sistema SportIdent de la FEDO

For all LEO 2022 events, the SportIdent Air+ system will be used, through which the athlete can use the

25PROTOCOLO COVID / COVID PROTOCOL
Para esta temporada, la FEDO ha actualizado el protocolo COVID para todos los corredores. Lo más
destacado es lo siguiente:
- Se recuerda que, en principio, la asistencia o no de público estará acorde con lo que las autoridades
correspondientes indiquen en cada momento. Si se prohibiera la asistencia de público, el acceso a esta
zona estaría restringido y solo podrían acceder participantes y Organización. Los participantes guardarán
la distancia de seguridad. El acceso a la zona estará controlado por personal de la organización con los
medios recomendados y disponibles en cada momento: indicadores de dirección, hidrogel (si fuese
preciso), etc. En todo momento, y también en esta zona, como norma general, y pese a que normalmente
se encuentra al aire libre, se recomienda llevar la mascarilla puesta.
- Una vez cogido el mapa, y situado el corredor en la línea de salida, éste podrá desprenderse de la
mascarilla, guardándola para su posterior uso.
- No será obligatorio el uso de mascarilla en carrera.
- Los corredores permanecerán en la zona de meta el menor tiempo posible. Se desplazarán al lugar
indicado para descarga de tarjetas que ha de estar a una distancia adecuada y con una extensión acorde
para evitar aglomeraciones y permitir la distancia de seguridad entre los corredores que han finalizado la
prueba.

For this season, FEDO has updated the COVID protocol for all runners. The highlights are as follows:
- It is reminded that, in principle, the attendance or non-attendance of the public will be in accordance
with what the corresponding authorities indicate at any given time. If the attendance of the public is
prohibited, access to this area will be restricted and only participants and the organisers will be able to
enter. Participants will keep a safe distance. Access to the area will be controlled by the organisation's
personnel with the recommended means available at all times: direction indicators, hydrogel (if
necessary), etc. At all times, and also in this area, as a general rule, and despite the fact that it is normally
in the open air, it is recommended to wear a mask.
- Once the map has been taken and the runner is at the starting line, he/she may remove the mask and
keep it for later use.
- It is not obligatory to wear a mask during the race.
- Runners shall remain in the finish area for as short a time as possible. They will move to the place
indicated for unloading the cards, which must be at a suitable distance and with a suitable extension to
avoid crowds and to allow a safe distance between the runners who have finished the race.

29CAMPO DE ENTRENAMIENTO / TRAINING CAMP
El Máximus Winter O-Camp o Campo de Entrenamiento de Invierno, es un nuevo proyecto
desarrollado por el Club de Orientación Máximus.
En el área de Burgohondo, podemos encontrar una gran variedad de terrenos de alta calidad, mapas
nuevos y/o actualizados (el más antiguo es de 2015), y una temperatura muy confortable (sin nieve)
que nos permite unas condiciones perfectas para un campo de entrenamiento de invierno.
Podemos gestionar todo lo que necesites: alojamientos, mapas en blanco, mapas de entrenamiento,
entrenamientos con SportIdent, gimnasio, piscina climatizada, rutas de trail, ...
Además, durante todo el período del campo de entrenamiento, tendremos a una persona de
contacto en el área para atender todas tus necesidades.
Maximus Winter O-Camp is a new project developed by the Spanish Orienteering Club: Máximus.
In Burgohondo area we can find a big variety of high quality terrains, new and updated maps (the
oldest from 2015), and very comfortable weather (snow free) which gives us the perfect conditions
for a winter training camp.
We can provide everything you need: accommodation, blank maps, training maps, trainings with
SportIdent, gym, swimming-pool, trail-running routes, ...
Furthermore, for the whole period we’ll have a contact person in the area to attend all your
necessities
