DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP PROTOCOL
Dear Alice Terry Elementary Families:

First of all, thank you for entrusting Alice Terry Elementary with educating your child this upcoming school year. In
order to expedite student pick-up and drop-off this year, we will be implementing a new protocol. Please take time
to familiarize yourself with this new process.

COVID19 Safety Guidelines:
1.   One parent may drop-off/pick up only
2.   Everyone wears a face mask during drop-off and pick-up
3.   Each teacher has two lines to maintain safe distance (6 ft)
4.   Students body temperature will be taken upon arrival to their line
5.   All playgrounds are closed during drop-off and pick-up

Drop-off: There are two methods for morning school drop-off. First, you may park on any of our surrounding
neighborhood streets that are not adjacent to the school and walk your student to the playground. If you chose this
method, please remember to cross the street at a marked crosswalk. Crossing guards will be at each location for
your safety. Please be respectful of our neighbors and do not block their driveways or park in our Hug-and-Go.

The second method is to use our supervised Hug-and-Go Lane (formerly Car Valet). This method allows you to stay
in your car and pull through the lane to drop your child off. You will enter the Hug-and-Go lane (behind the school
off of Mountain Drive) and pull as far forward as you can. When the line has stopped, your child may exit the car,
walk next to the fence to the gate, and enter the playground. Please have your child exit the car wherever it is
stopped in the Hug-and-Go Lane. In order to expedite this process, please refrain from waiting until you are at
the front of the line to let your child out.

The Hug-and-Go lane will open at 7:45AM each morning and runs until 8:00AM. Please do not let your child out
before 7:45. If you arrive after 8:00AM, you will need to bring your child to the main office to check them in. Please
do not send your child into the school unattended.

Pick-up: The rear parking lot will be closed in the afternoon. All families will need to park on the streets adjacent to
the school and meet their child on the blacktop to be checked out by the teacher. Students will not be allowed to
walk to a waiting car and will be held in the line until picked up by an approved guardian. Pick-up will begin at
3:25PM Tuesday through Friday and 12:30PM on Mondays. Students that are not picked up by 3:35PM Tuesday
through Friday and 12:40PM on Monday will be escorted to the main office where an approved guardian must sign
them out.

PROTOCOLO DE DEJAR Y RECOGER
Estimadas familias de Alice Terry Elementary:

En primer lugar, gracias por confiar en Alice Terry Elementary para la educación de su hijo/a este próximo año escolar.
Para acelerar la entrega y recogida de estudiantes este año vamos a implementar un nuevo protocolo. Tomé tiempo
para familiarizarse con este nuevo proceso.

COVID19 Pautas de seguridad:
1.  Un padre solo puede dejar / recoger
2.  Todos usan una máscara facial durante el regreso y la recogida
3.  Cada maestro tiene dos líneas para mantener una distancia segura (6 pies)
4.  Tomaremos la temperatura corporal de cada estudiantes al llegar a su línea
5.  Todos los parques infantiles están cerrados durante la entrega y recogida

Entrega: Hay dos métodos para dejar a su hijo/a en la escuela por la mañana. Primero, puede estacionarse en
cualquiera de las calles de nuestro vecindario y llevar a su hijo al patio de juegos. Si elige este método, recuerde cruzar
la calle en un cruce peatonal marcado. Los guardias de cruce estarán en cada lugar para su seguridad. Sea respetuoso
con nuestros vecinos y no bloquee sus entradas ni se estacione en nuestra línea de Hug-and-Go.

El segundo método es utilizar nuestro Carril Hug-and-Go supervisado (anteriormente Car Valet). Este método le
permite permanecer en su automóvil para dejar a su hijo. En el carril Hug-and-Go (detrás de la escuela en Mountain
Drive) y avanza lo más que puedas. Cuando la línea se ha detenido, su hijo puede salir del automóvil, caminar al lado
de la cerca hasta la puerta y entrar al patio de recreo. Haga que su hijo salga del auto donde sea que se detenga en el
carril Hug-and-Go. Para acelerar este proceso, no espere hasta que esté al frente de la fila para dejar salir a su hijo.

El carril Hug-and-Go abrirá a las 7:45 a.m. cada mañana y se extenderá hasta las 8:00 a.m. Por favor no deje salir a su
hijo antes de las 7:45. Si llega después de las 8:00 a. m., Deberá llevar a su hijo a la oficina principal para que se
registre. No envíe a su hijo a la oficina principal sin supervisión.

Recogida: El estacionamiento trasero estará cerrado por la tarde. Todas las familias necesitarán estacionarse en las
calles adyacentes a la escuela y encontrarse con sus hijos en el patio de juegos trasero para que el maestro los registre.
No se permitirá que los estudiantes caminen hacia un automóvil que los espera. Los estudiantes permanecerán en la
fila hasta que un familiar autorizado los recoja. La recogida comenzará a las 3:25 PM de martes a viernes y a las 12:30
PM los lunes. Los estudiantes que no sean recogidos antes de las 3:35 PM de martes a viernes y a las 12:40 PM los
lunes serán acompañados a la oficina principal, donde un familiar aprobado debe firmar su salida.
