May 12, 2019 Fourth Sunday of Easter World Day of Prayer for Vocations Mother’s Day St. Joseph Catholic Church, 7240 W. 57th St., Summit, Illinois Blessed Virgin Mary, Mater Ecclesiae, Mother of the Church, pray for us. Happy Mother’s Day to all our moms! Thank you for choosing life and for giving life!
Pożar wybuchł we wnętrzu. Alleluja! Bóg usłyszał płacz najbiedniejszych i odpowiedział nań! Happy Mother's Day dla wszystkich mam! Dusze zmarłych Matek prowadź bezpiecznie do Twego Syna, Jezusa. Vivat Iesus! Chwała Jezusowi!
FR. BOB’SFr. BRIEFS Bob’s Briefs We are back where we started. Do you remember? Five weeks ago, we began reading through Jesus’ Bread of Life Discourse in the sixth chapter of the Gospel of John. At the beginning of John 6, we read, “Jesus went across the Sea Thisof Galilee. He will rescue us, provided that we cooperate and put in the effort in prayer and in works (such as the faithful praying and the firefighters putting out the fire). This, God willing, marks the turning point. There is Hope, Hope for rebirth. Conversion is a reality, both at the personal and collective level. 5. The reality of conversion: it is a slow, steady (painstaking process). It requires the perseverance of a lifetime. The reconstruction of the destroyed parts of Notre Dame will take years and cost millions. I pray that hand in hand with the physical rebuilding of Notre Dame, there will be also the moral-spiritual rebuilding of Holy Mother Church, and a rebuilding of the culture of life. On this Mother’s Day weekend, we ask the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mater Ecclesiae, Mother of the Church, to pray for us. Happy Mother’s Day to all our moms! Thank you for choosing life and for giving life! May the Blessed Mother bless our moms with her loving care and intercession, and may the Blessed Mother safely lead the souls of mothers who have died to her Son Jesus. Vivat Jesus! Live Jesus!
