Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. As
Catholics, we are required to believe this most
important feast of Mary, when she was taken up
(assumed) into Heaven with her body and soul,
and not left to decay in the tomb.
Pray for us, oh Holy Mother of God, that we
may be worthy of the promises of Christ!

Debt ReducƟon Campaign
In August the SECOND COLLECTION for Debt Reduction will be the third full weekend August 21 and 22.
We have this special second collection once a month, but donations are encouraged at any time.
Although the three year Capital Campaign has concluded, we ask you to continue, if you can, to donate to
the Debt Reduction (aka Parish Center) fund. Please use the GRAY "Parish Center" or "Debt Reduction"
envelopes. Online donations are encouraged and can be scheduled on our website www.stmaryp.org.
Please designate all debt reduction donations as "Parish Center".
In July the monthly loan payment for the Parish Center debt was paid in the amount of $10,587 with $7,777
for interest expense and $2,810 paid on the principal balance. The current principal balance is $1,866, 376.
With your help we hope to again apply additional funds to the principal balance and refinance the loan for
more favorable terms.
