Queridos hermanos y hermanas.
Cuando el mundo estaba en las tinieblas, Dios envió a su único hijo para iluminar
nuestro camino.
"En el principio era la Palabra, y la Palabra estaba ante Dios, y la Palabra era
Dios. Ella estaba ante Dios en el principio, por Ella se hizo todo, y nada llegó a
ser sin Ella. Lo que fue hecho tenía vida en ella, y para los hombres la vida era
luz. La luz brilla en las tinieblas, y las tinieblas…” (Jn 1,01-5)
El principio del Evangelio de San Juan nos invita a recibir al que es la luz, para
que no vivamos en las tinieblas.
Por casi dos años hemos vivido en medio de una incertidumbre terrible, pareciera que la situación con nuestra
pandemia mejora, y nada vuelve a empeorar, cuando pareciera que finalmente estamos controlando la situa-
ción del contagio con el COVID, una nueva mutación vuelve.
Si no es el COVID, es la violencia que nos preocupa día a día. Podríamos preguntar, ¿donde está la Luz que
disipa las tinieblas? ¿Donde está la Luz que debería iluminar nuestro camino? Y la respuesta, creo que es
“dentro de ti” Cristo que es luz, que vive dentro de nosotros mismos.
Durante este tiempo de navidad, hermanas y hermanos, les invito a reflexionar, no acerca de las cosas que
hemos perdido durante esta pandemia, sino sobre las cosas positivas que hemos ganado. En medio de las difi-
cultades, estoy seguro que Dios de una forma y otra ha encontrar la manera de brillar en nuestra vida y en la
vida de los que se encuentra entre nosotros.
Hoy gracias a la reflexión de navidad, me doy cuenta que la Luz que brilla en las tinieblas, Cristo Jesús, me
ha llevado a recordad que no estoy solo, la comunidad e Sta. Rita y Sta. Clara nos hemos unidos en celebra-
ciones extraordinarias donde hemos compartido quienes somos y la riqueza de ser una sola parroquia. Lo que
en el principio parecía una desgracia al unirnos como parroquia, hoy es una bendición, rica en tradición, cul-
tura y fe.
Cristo ha encontrado la manera de brillar medio de las tinieblas, solo que nosotros tenemos que poner de
nuestra parte y abrir nuestros ojos y ver el resplandor de la luz que elimina el pecado, la miseria, la enferme-
dad y la muerte.
Cristo ha nacido y ha iluminado el mundo entero!
Deseo que en esta navidad y este ano Nuevo que comienza cada uno de ustedes sea una verdadera luz para la
vida de cada uno de los que los rodean.

Dear brothers and sisters.
When the world was in darkness, God sent his only son to light our way.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was before God, and the Word was
God. She was before God in the beginning, by Her everything was made, and
nothing came to be without Her. What was made had life in it, and for men life
was light. Light shines in darkness, and darkness… "(Jn 1,01-5)
The beginning of the Gospel of Saint John invites us to receive the one who is
light, so that we do not live in darkness.
For almost two years we have lived in the midst of terrible uncertainty, it seems that the situation with our
pandemic improves, and nothing worsens again, when it seems that we are finally controlling the situation of
contagion with COVID, a new mutation returns.
If it is not COVID, it is the violence that worries us every day. We could ask, where is the Light that dispels
darkness? Where is the Light that should illuminate our path? And the answer, I believe, is "within you"
Christ who is light, who lives within ourselves.
During this Christmas season, sisters and brothers, I invite you to reflect, not on the things we have lost dur-
ing this pandemic, but on the positive things we have gained. In the midst of difficulties, I am sure that God
in one way or another has found a way to shine in our lives and in the lives of those who are among us.
Today, thanks to the Christmas reflection, I realize that the Light that shines in the darkness, Christ Jesus, has
led me to remember that I am not alone, the community of Sta. Rita and Sta. Clara have united in extraordi-
nary celebrations where we have shared who we are and the richness of being a single parish. What at first
seemed like a disgrace when we came together as a parish, today is a blessing, rich in tradition, culture and
faith.
Christ has found a way to shine amid the darkness, only we have to do our part and open our eyes and see the
radiance of light that eliminates sin, misery, disease and death.
Christ was born and has illuminated the whole world!
I hope that this Christmas and this New Year that begins, each one of you will be a true light for the life of
each one of those around you.
