taken up in the arrival of this newcomer. The blessings of thesex months shine brighter, the burdens are lighter,
with this always surprising arrival. x

While Christmas is for us as regular as the earth’s orbit, the Christchild is disruptive: Jesus breaks into our world
with something heavenly. Perhaps King Herod was the most aware, x knowing that this infant spelled the end of
our world and our priorities. Or perhaps the shepherds and Magi x were just more ready to let go of what they
knew for the new. x

¡Feliz Navidad!
A lo largo de nuestras vidas, desde que tenemos uso de razón, hemos compartido el saludo especial de esta
temporada. ¡Feliz Navidad! Ya seamos jóvenes o ancianos, ricos o pobres, este anuncio del nacimiento de Jesús
nos llega de nuevo.
De un niño tan pequeño llega la mejor noticia. Paz en la tierra. ¡Buena voluntad para con los hombres! Quizás
estés cansado. Quizás estés agotado. Pero algo más grande que nosotros está rompiendo con el canto de los
ángeles, algo más grande que todo nuestro mundo y sus males y preocupaciones.
Aquí, en San Isidro, podemos mirar hacia atrás a tantos dones y desafíos durante el año pasado, y todos ellos se
incorporan al arribo de este recién llegado. Las bendiciones de estos meses brillan más, las cargas son más
ligeras, con esta llegada siempre sorprendente.
Mientras que la Navidad es para nosotros tan regular como la órbita de la tierra, el Cristo niño es disruptivo:
Jesús irrumpe en nuestro mundo con algo celestial. Quizás el rey Herodes fue el más consciente, sabiendo que

All in the Family
At first glance, we can often find the image of the
Blessed Mother, St. Joseph and the Christ Child
intimidating — who are we to aspire to that level of
discipleship? How could we ever hope to conform
ourselves to that mold? Sometimes, it can even be
painful — perhaps we hail from a broken family or
struggle with a broken relationship within our family,
or perhaps we long to be a mother or a father ourselves
and that state in life has eluded us.

reparation to have peace!! Free Study
Sessions on Fatima! Mary has a plan that helps
us to save not only our own souls but others. She
gave the three Fatima children a special request
that we, the lay people, should make reparation
for sin by practicing the First Saturdays which
includes going to confession, praying the Rosary,
receiving Holy Communion in the state of grace
and spending 15 minutes in meditation on the
Mysteries of the Rosary on the 1st Saturday of
each month. Please join us on Jan 1, the First
