We should be encouraged by this reminder that our God, our eternal Father who loves us and is always watching over us, is all-powerful. And today when we pray the Creed, let's relish those words, praying them right from the heart: "We believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth..." But how can we apply this beautiful and encouraging truth to our daily lives? St Ignatius of Loyola, the sixteenth-century knight turned priest who founded the Jesuits, has a good piece of advice in this regard. He used to say that a true Christian should "pray as if everything depended upon God but work as if everything depended upon himself." This sounds like a contradiction, but it isn't. When life's storms batter us, our families, and our communities, our first reaction should always be the same as the reaction of the Apostles in today's Gospel: to go to Jesus, to wake him up, to place our confidence in him, through sincere, heart-to-heart prayer. He will hear us because he is always lis- tening. And then, having put the situation in God's hands, the best way is to show him that we truly trust him. Today, as he renews his commitment to us in this Mass, let’s re- new our confidence in him, by promising to get back into the game with gusto this week. On a different note, I would like to let everyone of you know that Fr. Anthony Madanu, who was with us for the past 12 months, is called back to his Province as his term in the province of America is over. He will be leaving back to India on July 6th to take up his new assignment. Wherever Fr. Anthony was assigned throughout his priestly ministry, he had permeated the community with the qualities of great Leadership and OLOG Community will miss him. Together with you I wish Fr. Anthony Madanu the very best in his new assignment. I am deeply grateful to him and have been happy to have him as a confrère. I also invite you all to keep him in your prayers. We will have a little gathering after the 10:30 Mass on June 27th at the devotional area. Please stop by to manifest your Gratitude and to bid him farewell. Fr. Joy Kumarthusseril, mf

COVID-19 WORSHIP UPDATE
1. To attend Mass: effective immediately, NO check-in is
needed; sanitize your hand and please be seated
2. It is mandatory: that non-vaccinated persons, including mi-
nors, must always wear masks while indoors. We recom-
mended also to all those vaccinated, to have face covering while attending
the mass inside the church.
3. Effective Monday, June 21: weekday Livestream masses will no-longer be
transmitted. We encourage the parishioners to attend the Mass in person.
4. Sundays Livestream masses will remain unchanged: 8:45am in Spanish and
10:30am in English.
5. Music: Small vocal ensembles may sing unmasked if all singers are vaccinated
and maintain a six-foot distance from each other. Due to limitation of the
space we have, maximum capacity for Choir area is 6 people.

x 8 brick to memorialize parishioner who died of COVID 19. We

Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Fremont, CA 20 de junio, 2021 Nosotros deberíamos ser alentados por este recordatorio de que nuestro Dios, nuestro Pa- dre eterno, quien nos ama y siempre nos vigila, es Todopoderoso. Y el día de hoy cuando rezamos el Credo, disfrutemos de esas palabras, rezándolas desde lo más profundo de nuestro corazón: "Creemos en un solo Dios, Padre Todopoderoso, Creador del cielo y de la tierra..." Pero ¿cómo podemos aplicar esta hermosa y alentadora verdad a nuestras vidas? San Igna- cio de Loyola, el caballero del siglo XVI que se convirtió en sacerdote y fundó la congrega- ción de los Jesuitas tiene un buen consejo en esto. Él solía decir que un verdadero cristiano debería “orar como si todo dependiera de Dios, pero trabajar como si todo dependiera de uno mismo." Esto suena como contradicción, pero no lo es. Cuando las tormentas de la vida nos golpean a nosotros, a nuestras familias y a nuestras comunidades, la primera reacción debería ser la que tuvieron los Apóstoles en el Evangelio de hoy: ir a despertar a Jesús, poner nuestra confianza en Él, a través de la oración sincera de corazón a corazón. Él nos escuchará por- que siempre está escuchándonos. Y después deponer esa situación en las manos de Dios, la mejor manera es mostrarle que verdaderamente confiamos en Él. Hoy, mientras Él re- nueva su compromiso con nosotros, en esta Misa, renovemos nuestra confianza en Él pro- metiéndole regresar al juego esta semana con gusto. Por otra parte, quiero decirles a todos que el Padre Anthony Madanu, quien estuvo con no- sotros por los pasados 12 meses, ha sido llamado a regresar a su Provincia pues su manda- to en la provincia de América ha terminado. Va a regresar a la India el 6 de julio para asumir su nueva asignación. Donde sea que el P. Anthony sea asignado a lo largo de su ministerio sacerdotal, él ha impregnado a la comunidad con cualidades de un gran Liderazgo y la Co- munidad de NSG lo va a extrañar. Junto con ustedes le deseo al P. Anthony Madanu lo mejor en su nueva asignación. Le es- toy profundamente agradecido y he estado feliz de tenerlo como compañero. También los invito a que lo mantengan en sus oraciones. Vamos a tener una pequeña reunión después de la Misa de las 10:30 el 27 de junio en el área devocional. familiares de feligreses que murieron a causa del COVID. Nos gustaría hon‐
rar su legado; sus logros y la diferencia que hicieron en nuestras vidas.

ACTUALIZACIONES SOBRE DEVOCIONES
POR COVID-19
1. Para Asistir a Misa: efectivo inmediatamente NO necesita registrarse para asistir a
Misa, desinfecte sus manos y siéntese usted mismo.
2. Es obligatorio: que las personas que no están vacunadas, incluyendo los menores,
siempre deben usar mascaras mientras están dentro de la Iglesia. Recomenda-
mos que los que están vacunados también usen cubierta facial cuando asista a
Misa dentro de la iglesia.
3. A partir del lunes 21 de junio: ya no serán trasmitidas las Misas semanales. Los in-
vitamos a que asistan en persona a Misa.
4. Los domingos se continuarán trasmitiendo las Misas: 8:45am en español y
10:30am en inglés.
5. Música: Pequeños conjuntos vocales pueden cantar sin mascara si todos están va-
cunados y mantienen 6 pies de distancia.
